Wolcott - Thomas Walter Welton Sr., 82, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2017. Tom was predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Nola Welton, and their daughter Amy.

Tom served as a U.S. Marine in the Korean War and worked for the CL&P as a mechanic for 45 years. Before going into the military he was being scouted to play for his beloved baseball team the Boston Red Sox.

He is survived by his children Terry Cordon, Thomas Welton Jr., Todd Welton and his wife Patti, his daughter Tammy Couture and her husband Paul, Scott Welton and his wife Kim.

He is a proud grandpa of eight grandchildren, Amy, and her husband, Wayne, Chrissy, Paully, Brandon, Taylor, Andrew, Nick, and Makayla, and his great grandson Wayne (Little Man).

He is predeceased by his brother Earl Welton Jr and survived by his brothers David and Allen Welton.

Calling hours will be held on February 28th, 2017 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, March 1st at 10:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodtick Cemetery.
