Wolcott – Rosemary D. West, 67, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. She was the loving wife of Harvey West.
Rosemary was born in Waterbury on December 21, 1949 to the late Alide and Mary (Venditti) Diamond. A long time resident of Wolcott, graduating from Wolcott HS and CCSU. She worked for the Wolcott Public Library and the Children's Dyslexia Center in Waterbury before retiring to spend more time with her grandchildren. Rosemary was recognized for her many volunteer services, notably President of the GFWC Farmingbury Woman's Club of Wolcott, member of GFWC of Waterbury, and member of the Friends of Wolcott Library. In recognition of her volunteer services, she received the Roseanne Barratt community service award in 1993. Rosemary was devoted to her family and community, avid Yankees & Uconn Women's Basketball fan, and always helped others.
Including her husband, Harvey, of 44 years, Rosemary is survived by her children, Michele Guerrera, and her husband, Rocco, of Farmington and; Alan West, and his wife, Melissa, of Shelton; her grandchildren, Evan, Lauren, Myles, Chase, and Lucas; and her sister in law, A.J. Kayser, and her husband Clyde Kayser.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 9 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Maria Goretti Church, 1300 Woodtick Road. Please meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
