Watertown – Mrs. Dolores J. (Witkoski) St. Mary, formerly of Prospect, passed away on Wednesday evening, May 24, at her home surrounded by her family. She was the widow of Richard H. St. Mary.

Dolores was born in Naugatuck, daughter of the late Frank and Alice (Wasilus) Witkoski. Raised in Union City, she had attended local schools and was a graduate of Naugatuck High School. She had been employed for many years at Waterbury Savings Bank, working as a teller, in customer service and retiring as an assistant manager. After her retirement she went to work at the Republican American as a subscription clerk for ten years.

Dolores loved music and had been involved in many chorale groups, choirs and musical productions, including, the Sweet Adeline’s Chorus, the Prospectors Chorale Group, the Naugatuck Valley Community College Choir, the Seven Angels Theater and the choir at the Shrine of St. Anne, where she was also a communicant.

Dolores will be remembered for her love of dining out, traveling with her sister, shopping, summer parties and picnics by her pool at her home in Prospect and the years of joy and companionship she had with her faithful dog Bijou.

She is survived by two daughters, Nadeane Pirro of Wolcott and Linda Morris and her husband Walter of Waterbury; one brother, John Witkoski of St. Augustine, FL; one sister, Lorraine Morelli of Watertown; four grandchildren, Sara Pirro of Wolcott, Nicole Kaczmarczyk and her husband John of Watertown, Jillian Pirro of Wolcott and Christine DeVito of Watertown; two great-grandchildren, Julianna and Austin and several nieces and nephews, including Tom Morelli of Watertown and her poodle Lexi. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Anthony Pirro.

Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 2, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 3, at 9:30 A.M. at the Shrine of St. Anne in Waterbury. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery.
