In terms of specific services, there is much that Woodtick Memorial has to offer:

Our Pre-Planning Services make it easy for you to get your express wishes down in writing, ensuring that you have the kind of memorial service you truly desire and that your friends and loved ones can have total peace of mind that they are adhering to your wishes.

We host Burial Services that convey both the solemnity of the occasion, but also the joy that comes from celebrating the life of a dear loved one. We are happy to attend to all aspects of the service, and we invite our guests to linger as long as they wish, fully enjoying a special and intimate time with friends and family.

For those who choose it, we also offer Cremation Services; cremation can be a meaningful way in which many families mark the death of a loved one.

We offer services tailored to honor those who are military service members and veterans, as well.

Our History

Our founders, Leon A. Frigon and his wife Rita (Dubois) Frigon, started Frigon Funeral Home in Waterbury (formerly Belleville Funeral Home) in 1945 and continued to serve the community until their retirement in 1979. They made their residence on the second floor of the home with their four children until 1974, when they moved to Hitchcock Lake in Wolcott. They were dedicated to their community and their family. Their son Leon Armand Frigon and Sharon Frigon continued the business at the Waterbury facility and opened Woodtick Memorial in May 1985. Leon retired in 1999, and Frigon Funeral home was closed in 2004. Woodtick was designed to appeal to the community of Wolcott and Waterbury with its spacious chapels, peaceful décor, and large parking area. Renovations were started in 1994 to accommodate a large chapel and general offices.
