Wolcott – Sandra “Sandi” D. Weiler, 58, wife of Craig W. Osit, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 29.
Sandi was born December 29, 1964 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Thomas A. and Lucille (Marino) Mancinone. Sandra was born with Cerebral Palsy and was determined and focused to overcome her disabilities as proven by graduating from Wolcott High School class of 1983 and receiving her Master’s Degree in education at Central Connecticut State University.
She was the former owner and operator of the Children’s Connection Inc. in Wolcott and was a professor of special education at Southern Connecticut State University. Sandra was an educational consultant with the State of Connecticut as an advocate for children and their parents with special needs. Sandi enjoyed traveling to different destinations and attending country music concerts, her most recent being Blake Shelton. She also enjoyed watching sappy movies.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sister, Susan Aiello and her husband Stephen of Bristol; her nieces Tiffany and Nina Pasqua and nephew Joshua Aiello. She also leaves her brother, James P. Mancinone and his wife Tammy of Plymouth; niece Lora and nephew Thomas; step-mother Judith Mancinone of Waterbury. Sandi also leaves many family and friends including her beloved Aunt Diane Becchetti of Bristol and her treasured cousin Jodi Perazzella of Wolcott.
