Wolcott – Mr. Robert R. Sirois, 90, passed away peacefully at his home after a long illness, with his loving wife by his side on Friday, July 28. He was the husband of Mary E. (Thibault) Sirois.

Robert was born August 6, 1926 in Auburn, Maine, son of the late Joseph and Alida (Nadeau) Sirois. He worked for Ed’s Auto parts for 43 years, and Albert Brothers Inc. for ten years. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and for his devotion to his family. He had wonderful sense of humor and was always quick to tell a joke.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Roberta Thibeau; and Christine Mahoney and her husband Raymond; his brother-in-law, Robert Grandpre, whom Robert and his first wife, Yvette, raised like a son since he was a child, and his wife Denise; one step-son, James Thibault and his girlfriend Cynthia; all of Wolcott; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Yvette D. (Grandpre) Sirois and his siblings, Adrien, Cecile, Germaine, Juliet, Roland, Gerard, and Irene.

Robert’s Family would like to give a very special thank you to Vitas Healthcare and their staff, especially to Nechama and Jackie, for their loving care and compassion. Also, Willy from Guardian Angels, for his special care.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 4, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Pius X Church in Wolcott. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Watertown.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert’s memory to Alzheimer’s Disease Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, P.O. Box 1950, Clarksburg, MD. 20871-1950.
