Richard N. Tolomei

 Wolcott- Richard N. Tolomei, 78, beloved husband of Doris (Lezotte) Tolomei passed away unexpectedly on October 26, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Richard was born May 20, 1940 in Staten Island, NY to the late Harry and Yvonne (Fortier) Tolomei.  Besides his devoted wife of 48 years Richard is survived by his daughters Jessica Fernandes and Rebecca Tolomei, his grandchildren Cecilia Fernandes and her partner Bruno Franceschi and Richard Fernandes.  He is also survived by two sisters, a sister-in-law and five nephews. Richard loved his family and will be missed dearly by them especially his faithful dog Miley.

Richard proudly served his country the US Army stationed in Berlin, Germany.  Richard worked many years as a truck driver retiring from New Penn Motor Express after 27 years of employment.  He was a life time member of the Wolcott VFW #1979 and was a past member of the Waterbury Deep Sea Fisherman’s Club.  He was an avid gardener who took pride in his lawn, flowers and his beloved tomatoes.  But Richard’s true passion was to be out on the water fishing which he enjoyed to his final days before his passing.

At this time of profound grief, the family asks for privacy.  Respecting Richard’s wishes services will be held privately.
