Wolcott – Richard T. Renkun, Jr., 72, of Wolcott, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in Autumn Lake Nursing Home in Waterbury. He was the loving husband of Mrs. Eleanor (Love) Renkun.
Richard was born on March 19, 1946 in Waterbury, son of the late Richard T. Renkun Sr., and Mary Mukosey. Richard previously worked at Palladin Precision Products in Waterbury for 27 years and more recently worked as a building contractor, owning his own company. Richard was an active member of the Wolcott Lions Club, was very charitable, and had a love for music. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and traveling. Richard also enjoyed spending time with his 'bar' friends and the Wolcott Lions. His favorite past time was sitting on his front deck, with a beer or angry orchard, and enjoying his home and property.
Besides his wife, Eleanor, Richard is survived by two sisters, Cindy Evans, and Richela Fusco and her husband John of Vermont; his in-laws, Ann Marie Mastroianni and her husband Richard; Andrea DiCarlo and her husband Richard; and Robert Love and his wife Joelle; and several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, J.J., Buddy, and Moose.
Family and friends may call on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00P.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.
