Raymond J. Dollinger
October 30, 1933 ~ May 13, 2020 (age 86) 86 Years Old
Wolcott – Raymond J. Dollinger, 86, beloved husband of the late Shirley (Morin) Dollinger for 62 years, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2020 at The Village at East Farms in Waterbury.
Raymond was born on October 30, 1933, in Waterbury, son of the late Arthur and Helen Dollinger. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Leavenworth High School in Waterbury. Raymond was a dedicated and hardworking businessman, successfully running R.J. Dollinger Electric Company in Wolcott for 42 Years. He was a longtime member of the Wolcott Lions Clubs; loved gardening, camping, spending time in Florida, and most of all he loved and cherished his family. Raymond also served honorably in the United States Army.
Raymond is survived by seven children, Karen Parks and her husband Robert, Darlene Bartolini and her husband Robert, Wayne Dollinger, Kevin Dollinger and his wife Karen, Lisa Sherman, Amy Gilbert and her husband Alan, and Tracy Herren and her husband Martin; 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; one sister Annabelle Lyons, and one brother Arthur Dollinger. He was predeceased by his sister, Mae Dollinger.
The family would like to thank all the staff at The Village at East Farms and VITAS Hospice for the love and care they showed Raymond, and Dr. Jega for his many years of care and compassion.
