Pierce A Reignier
July 31, 1961 ~ July 20, 2021 (age 59) 59 Years Old
Southbury - Pierce Arthur Reignier, born July 31, 1961, died peacefully Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Yale New Haven after a long illness.
He was educated at both Sacred Heart Grammar and High Schools and attended the University of Nebraska. As a young man he honed his superb cooking skills at the Harrison Inn, The Bazaar in Southbury, the heyday of the West Side Lobster House in Waterbury, and his own “Riviera” in Indian Neck Branford. Later in life he owned and directed The Stillwater Mediation Center, Wolcott, where he taught Tai-Chi.
Survivors are parents, Louis A. Reignier, and the late Mary Louise Pierce Reignier; sister, Michelle M. Reignier; nephew, Ben Pierce Reignier; niece, Mary Louise Barnes, and her partner, Shelby Waznia; Uncle Jack Pierce and family, of Lincoln, Nebraska; the late Aunt Shawna Pierce; and his cousin Bryan Gillis and family of Chicago; and numerous cousins from both sides.
He enjoyed cooking for friends and family, building rock walls, and watching Jeopardy with his father. Services are private and at the discretion of the immediate family through Woodtick Memorial, Wolcott.
