Mr. Marcel A. LeClerc Sr.
May 5, 1937 ~ January 6, 2020 (age 82) 82 Years Old
Wolcott – Marcel A. LeClerc Sr., 82, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2020. He was the husband of Lorraine (Andreano) LeClerc for almost 60 years.
Marcel was born in Waterbury on May 5, 1937 to the late Armand and Lucy (Beaulieu) LeClerc. He served in the United States Army for 4 years. He worked at Raymond’s Baking Company for several years and retired from Costco after 26 years. Marcel enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, going to church, or watching Daily Mass on TV; but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family. Especially his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
Including his wife, Lorraine LeClerc, Marcel is survived by his children, Marc LeClerc Jr., and his wife, Donna, of Torrington; Virginia Lane, of Waterbury; and Michael LeClerc, of Wolcott; his grandchildren, Marnie-Jean Lane, of Waterbury; Matthew LeClerc, of Naugatuck; and Jessica LeClerc, of Thomaston; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Marcel was predeceased by his sister, Bernice Chabot, and her husband, Albert Chabot; and his son in law, George A. Lane Jr.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 11 at St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Road, Wolcott at 8:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Marcel’s family would like to thank St. Mary’s Hospital for all the care and compassion, and VITAS for their support, especially Dr. Osahan for his kindness.
