Waterbury – Leo A. Bisaillon Sr., 84, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 1, 2018 surrounded by family. He was the loving, devoted husband of 64 years to Claire (Desormeaux) Bisaillon.
Leo was born on February 14, 1934 in Waterbury, son of the late Zepherin and Marie (Cyr) Bisaillon. Leo worked as a machinist at Pratt and Whitney in Southington for 40 years until his retirement. He was a former member of the Elks Lodge No. 265 in Waterbury and enjoyed bowling and setback. Leo was an avid UConn Women’s Basketball and New York Yankees fan and will always be remembered for his love of a good family party. He always took an extreme interest in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities and cherished the time he was able to spend with them.
Besides his loving and devoted wife, Claire who always was by his side, Leo is survived by his children who loved and cherished him, Robert Bisaillon Sr. and his wife Carol, Ann-Marie Santoro and her husband David, Leo Bisaillon Jr. and his wife Bette, and Lawrence Bisaillon and his wife Pamela; his brother Normand Bisaillon; his close friend Muffy Mendillo; his sister Evelyn Ahern and her husband John Sr.; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and countless cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Bisaillon; and his grandson Jason Bisaillon.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Michael’s Church, 62 St Michael's Dr., Waterbury. Prayers of committal will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
