Kenneth Albert Malagutti
March 10, 1948 ~ April 16, 2022 (age 74) 74 Years Old
Waterbury – Mr. Kenneth Albert Malagutti, 74, passed away on Saturday morning, April 16, at Beacon Brook Healthcare in Naugatuck.
Ken was born March 10, 1948 in Waterbury, son of the late Albert and Mildred (Pfurr) Malagutti. He attended Chase Grammar School where he met his lifelong friends, Jason Griska and Vin Jalbert and was a graduate of Crosby High School. He attended A.I. Prince Technical School where he pursued his love of electronics. Growing up his favorite hobby was his American Flyer Trains, where he spent endless hours designing different platforms. He was the co-owner of the former Good Guys Appliance Store in Torrington.
Ken loved to reminisce of the days growing up in the east end of Waterbury and the wonderful childhood he and his siblings had growing up with loving parents. Ken owned several muscle cars with his favorite being his 1968 Dodge Coronet R/T. He loved to spend time with his family at holiday gatherings and picnics. Ken will be remembered as a kind, humble and honorable man and for his generosity to many people.
He is survived by his siblings, Diane Russo and her husband Richard of Sebastian, FL, Roger Malagutti and his wife Lynda of Prospect and Barbara Elliott and her husband Richard of Old Saybrook; four nephews, Michael Russo, Jeffrey Elliott, Jason Malagutti and Steven Malagutti and several great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Ken’s conservator and longtime friend Attorney Gerald Farrell, Sr, Dr. Edmund Caporaso and the St. Mary’s Hospital nursing staff.
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, April 20 at 11:00 A.M. at Woodtick memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. Friends may visit with Ken’s family from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery.
