Wolcott – Mrs. Judith S. (Signor) Heninger, 76, passed away on Thursday evening, May 3, at the Bristol Hospital. She was the widow of Bruce Rodgers.
Judith was born October 31, 1941 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Edward and Mary (West) Signor. Raised in Waterbury she attended local schools and was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School. She then went on to nursing school and did her training at Bristol Hospital. She had been employed for many years at area convalescent homes including, Wolcott View Manor, Cedar Lane Rehabilitation and Abbott Terrace. She will be remembered for the joy she found in knitting and crocheting, but most especially spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Daniel J. Heninger of Bristol; her daughters, Heidi J. Heninger of Bristol and Karin E. Schwartz of Manchester; her sister, Sharyn Galloway of FL; six grandchildren, Brittany, James, Jasmine, Gabrielle, Natasha and Benjamin; two great-grandsons and one niece
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 9, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott. Burial will be private.
