Joseph Jay Scarduzio
February 3, 1956 ~ September 5, 2022 (age 66) 66 Years Old
Waterbury – Joseph Jay Scarduzio, 66, of Waterbury, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022 at his home. He was the loving husband of the late Sherry Scarduzio who predeceased him in 2020.
Joseph was born on February 3, 1956 in Bridgeport, son of Thomas Scarduzio and Mary Scarduzio. Joseph worked as an Aviation Maintenance Technician Instructor at the Stratford School for Aviation Maintenance Technicians for a number of years where he was truly loved by his students and colleagues. He also loved the beach and swimming, taking family trips, hiking with his dogs, and cherished the time he was able to spend with his children and grandchildren. Joseph was a loving, reliable, and devoted father/grandfather to his children and grandchildren and someone you could always rely on. Joseph also served honorably in the United States Army.
Joseph is survived by his children, Andrew Scarduzio, and his wife, Aimee LaChance; Aimee Scarduzio and her husband, James McCulloch; Maximillian Scarduzio; and Noah Manny; stepson Joseph Nichols and his wife Miranda; his grandchildren, James McCulloch, Jr.; Natalie McCulloch; Celeste Scarduzio, and Emily Nichols; two brothers, Thomas and Robert Scarduzio; his nephew Robert Scarduzio Jr., his niece Angela Scarduzio; and countless friends.
Family and friends may call on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. Funeral Services will be held privately.
