Jonathan Burgos

Torrington – Jonathan “Johnny” Burgos, 43, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020. Johnny was born in Waterbury on May 24, 1977, son of Carmelo Burgos Jr. and the late Pauline (O’Malley) Jackson and his brother Martin Burgos who is predeceased.

Johnny was a kindhearted man who loved his family dearly. He was very creative, artistic and generous. He volunteered giving haircuts to the homeless and he also helped at the soup kitchen . He was a very social guy and had a wonderful sense of humor. People enjoyed being around him. Johnny's talent for music was displayed through his love of beats, raps, and DJing.

Including his father, Carmelo Burgos Jr., Johnny leaves behind his maternal grandmother, Marie O'Malley; his two sons, Julian Burgos and his mother, Allison Pond; and Jameson Burgos and his mother, Erin Gregoire; his brother, Carmelo M. Burgos, and his wife, Kendra; his sisters, Yvette Ford, and her husband, Terry; Jeanette Burgos; and Tara Burgos-Martin; many nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 25 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. Attendees must wear a mask and practice social distancing. Due to restrictions on gatherings, you are kindly asked to leave after paying your respects to allow the next group to enter.
