Wolcott - Jeannette (Cordeau) Baggett, 101, formerly of Lawrence, MA., passed away peacefully, Thursday, June 25, 2020.

She was born November 29, 1918 in Lawrence, MA., the eldest child of Alice Cote Cordeau and Arthur Cordeau. She was the loving wife of James Baggett who predeceased her in death in 2011. They had celebrated 67 years of marriage just prior to his passing. Jeannette was a graduate of Lawrence High School and the Macintosh School of Business. She was later a key punch operator for the Arlington Mills in MA. They moved their family to Connecticut in 1960 and resided in Wolcott for 60 years. She had a passion for bingo, bowling – which she enjoyed well into her 90’s, and cheering for the UConn Women’s basketball team. She loved her vacations with family and friends in Maine and Sanibel Island, Florida – and always enjoyed the beach life. She was a long time parishioner of St. Pius X Church and an active member of the Ladies Guild for many years.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynne (Dave) Dziezynski of Rotonda West, Florida, Janis (Adlai) Shihab of Athens, Texas, and Terry (Al) Soucey of Wolcott; four grandchildren, Amy Dziezynski Karls (Michael) of North Grafton, MA., James (Sheila) Dziezynski of Boulder, CO., Ashely Shihab of Dallas, TX., and Austin (Michelle) Shihab of Houston, TX.; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Cordeau.

A calling hour will be held on Thursday, July 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
