Tribute

Waterbury - Jay A. LaBrecque passed away peacefully early Friday morning. He was the husband of Carol (Lemoine) LaBrecque.

The son of Romeo LaBrecque and Dorothy (Abair) LaBrecque, and step-son of Leonard Belisle, Jay was born and raised in Ludlow, MA, the third of four boys. He was predeceased by Romeo, Dorothy, Leonard, and his brothers Roger and Donald. He served in the United States Marine Corps, and later worked as a CNC Machinist, retiring from Reidville Hydraulics. He was the scoutmaster of Troop 34 in Waterbury, CT. He was a family man of strong faith and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife, Carol, Jay is survived by, his daughter Rachelle Sutton and her husband Corey Sutton, and their children Sylar Torunski and Alyah and Tevon Sutton, his son Richard LaBrecque and wife Rachael (Burke) LaBrecque, and their son Jack, his daughter Victoria LaBrecque, and her son Alexzander Reid, his brother Rodney LaBrecque, and his sisters in law Shirley LaBrecque and Anita Lemoine.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 26, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, November 27, at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church 309 South Main St. Waterbury. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Jay’s name to Newington Human Services (860)665-8590 or a charity of your choice.
