Wolcott – Henry C. Flynn, 56, of Wolcott, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 23, 2017. He was the loving husband of 29 years to Mrs. Kelly (Lecours) Flynn.
Henry was born on January 22, 1961 in New Milford, son of Gerald and Ethel (Judson) Flynn of New York. Henry owned and operated H.C. Lawn and Maintenance for 29 years, a job he truly loved to do. He enjoyed playing with his “toys,” especially his Ferris Lawnmower. Henry will always be remembered for his unique personality and love of ice cream. He cherished the time he was able to spend with his loving wife, Kelly; his “Angel,” granddaughter Quinn; and his entire family. Henry was a longtime member of the Wolcott Congregational Church where he served as a trustee, and a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He also donated his time for the past 20 years working with the March of Dimes.
Besides his wife and parents, Henry is survived by his children, Brian and Andrea Lecours; his granddaughter Quinn Lecours; five brothers and sisters, Dan Flynn and his wife Becky of New Hampshire, Wyatt Flynn of New Milford, Louise Perkins of Florida, Billy Flynn and his wife Renee of Georgia, and Matthew Flynn and his wife Amy of New York; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Tyler Flynn; and his mother in law, Dorothy Lecours.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 29 at 6 pm at the Wolcott Congregational Church, 185 Center St., Wolcott. Friends may gather at the church from 4 pm until the time of the service. A reception in the church hall will follow. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
