Waterbury – Harvey C. Bullis, 95, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019. He was the husband of the late Victoria (Forino) Bullis.

Harvey was born in Waterbury on June 2, 1924 to Walter and Marion (Howe) Bullis. Harvey grew up on a farm in Prospect. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, during WWII. He worked for Oakville Pin Manufacturing (Scovill’s), and several other part time jobs. He loved to plant crops in his garden, and worked hard to support his family. Harvey was kind, giving, loving, a true gentleman, and had a great sense of humor.

Harvey is survived by his daughters, Marion Bullis; and Mary Lewin; his daughter in law, Donna (Russman) Bullis; his grandchildren, Matthew and Cat Breen-Bullis; Melissa and Sean Farrow; Joelle and Hector Medina; Emily and Matthew Pringle; Peter Lamontagne and Julia Grasso; Jason and Nicole Lewin; Jillian Lewin and her partner Raymond LaClaustra; his great grandchildren, Adelyn and Owen Medina; and several nieces and nephews.

Including his wife, Victoria, Harvey was predeceased by his son, Walter D. Bullis; his siblings, Evangeline (Bullis) Morris, Walter Bullis, and Eugene Bullis; and his sons in law, Peter Lamontagne; and George Lewin.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, September 27 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 785 Highland Ave, Waterbury for 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery with Military honors.

Harvey’s family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to the Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care in Middlebury and the Cheshire House in Waterbury for their exceptional care they gave Harvey and his family during his stay.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Harvey’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
