Mrs Gloria I. Charbonneau

Wolcott – Mrs. Gloria I. (Miclette) Charbonneau, 97, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, at her home. She was the widow of Walter J. Charbonneau, Sr.

Gloria was born June 15, 1925 in W. Warwick, RI, daughter of the late Adelard J. and Ida (Langlais) Miclette. She and her late husband were the owners of the former Half Way Restaurant and WJ Charbonneau Trucking in Wolcott. She was a member of the Wolcott VFW Post 1979 and Woman’s Auxiliary. Gloria enjoyed bingo, and her trips to the casino. She loved watching Boston Red Sox games. Her home was a place to gather for family and friends for 70 years. Everyone was greeted with a comforting smile and a big hug.

She leaves behind a large family to grieve her passing, honor her legacy and cherish her memories. She is survived by her children, Jeanne Perkins of Lee, MA, Walter J. Charbonneau, Jr and his wife Cindy of Max Creek, MO., Ronald Charbonneau of Wolcott, Thomas E. Charbonneau and his wife Deborah of Wolcott, Barbara Burns and her husband Andrew of Port Orange, FL, Diane Perugini of Monroe, GA., Patty Altamirano of Becket, MA. and Gloria Hennen and her husband Dave of Hillsboro, MO. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren and many great - grandchildren and great- great- grandchildren. She leaves behind also many nieces and nephews, her sister Lucille Orsatti and her beloved dog Suzie. She was predeceased by her five brothers, Gerald, Norman, Robert, John and Joseph (BeBe).

Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 17, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Woodtick Memorial Funeral Home 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at St. Pius X Church (St. Basil the Great Parish) 517 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Watertown.
