Loving wife, mother and grandmother

Wolcott - Evelyn Ahearn, age 78, beloved wife of John (Jack) Ahearn entered into eternal rest on Tuesday August 13th with her loving family by her side.

Evelyn was born on July 6, 1941 in Waterbury, daughter of Zepherin and Marie (Cyr) Bisaillon. She is survived by her loving husband Jack of 55 years, son Jack Jr. and significant other Dorothy Marquay. She is also mother to Darlene Douty and fiancé Thomas Gardiner with whom she made her home while staying in CT. Evelyn leaves behind her former son-in-law Earl Douty, and two grandchildren Ryan and Karissa Douty who were her pride and joy. She is also survived by her brother Normand Bisaillon and his companion Muffy Mendillo, sister-in-laws Claire Bisaillon and Helen Ahearn as well as numerous nieces and nephews, whom she greatly cherished.

Evelyn was a devoted wife and mother who dedicated her life to her family, in which she was always putting others before herself. She always had a nurturing heart to anyone who was in her presence, which never failed to lead to a new friend. She constantly let everyone know how much she loved them.As a resident of Maine, she spent much time at her log cabin in Ebeemee alongside her husband. Countless good times with family and friends will never be forgotten. All of the animals that were created always came to her. They knew her spirit, peace and love so they trusted her tender hand to feed them all.

Evelyn fought a long and brave battle to her illnesses, never complaining, always hopeful and positive. She will be remembered for her positive outlook on life and her strong faith in God. Evelyn is predeceased by her parents Marie and Zepherin Bisaillon, her brothers Robert and Leo Bisaillon and brother-in-law William Ahearn.

A mass will be held for her on August 24th at 10:00 am at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 62 Saint Michael’s Drive in Waterbury. Calling hours will be held at Woodtick Memorial Funeral Home 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott, CT. on Friday August 23rd from 5:00 to 8:00PM.
