Wolcott- Elaine Marion (Behlman) Grosch, passed peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, May 27, 2019. Elaine was born on July 31, 1934 to Marion (Bird) and Harris Behlman. Elaine is predeceased by her husband, Henry E. Grosch.
Elaine was a beautiful Person with a great smile and she loved to talk. Her first job was as an operator for SNET. After raising her two daughters as a full-time homemaker, Elaine rejoined the workforce at several businesses including the Wolcott High School Cafeteria, CT Hypodermic in Wallingford, and General DataComm in Waterbury.
Elaine had been active in The Order of Eastern Star, Waterbury Junior Women’s Club, and her church Christ Episcopal Church, Waterbury. She loved reading, crossword puzzles, war movies, and Jeopardy. Elaine collected elephants and butterflies because she loved them.
Elaine is survived by her daughters, Kaye Lee and her husband Michael Lee of Waterbury and Karen (Coulter) Rourke and her husband Kevin Rourke of Wolcott. Her grandchildren Amanda (Ricchezza) Miller and her husband Barry Miller of Williamsburg, VA; Shanna Ricchezza and her partner Sarah Linstrom of Midlothian, VA; John Ricchezza and his husband Christopher Garrison of Doswell, VA; Ashlee (Ricchezza) Ferrari and her husband Jed Ferrari of Richmond, VA; and Lauren Coulter of Waterbury. Elaine had 3 great grandchildren, several cousins and many friends.
Friends and family may call on Friday, May 31 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Woodtick Memorial Funeral Home, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. Services will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 2030 E. Main St., Waterbury. Meet directly at church. Burial will be held privately.
