Waterbury - Dolores M. (Trevino) Dery, 91, beloved wife of the late William J. Dery Jr., died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday October 7, 2019.
Dolores was born on June 27, 1928 in Massena, NY. The daughter of the late Soltero & Eufracia (Burgos) Trevino. She was predeceased by her son Thomas A. Dery, two brothers and five sisters. Dolores worked at Naugatuck Rubber Factory and also at Cue & Cushion Billiards, in Waterbury CT. She was an active pollster for the City of Waterbury and was known to “meet the ladies” on Thursdays downtown at Howland Hughes. She was a sassy woman who was funny, kind, friendly, and loving to everyone.
She is survived by six children: Sharon M. Ober of Burlington CT, Catherine A. & Grant Courchaine of Plainfield CT, William J. Dery III of Plantsville CT, Kenneth M. Dery of Waterbury CT, Brian J. & Deiadre Dery of Louisville KY, & Tina M. Jacovino of Waterbury CT. Dolores is also survived by her ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, & numerous nieces and nephews. Despite her complete objection to having a favorite, Dolores and her granddaughter Kristi-Lynn Jacovino shared a lifelong bond that transcended time, as Kristi-Lynn mirrored Dolores’ dedicated loving care through the last years of her life.

Family and friends may call on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. At Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. A service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Burial is private.
