Wolcott – Deborah “Debbie” (Gamble) Dunne, 62, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Dunne Sr.
Debbie was born in Meriden on April 6, 1958, daughter of Richard Gamble Sr. and Joan (Willette) Gamble. Debbie was a Wolcott High School graduate, Class of 1976, and earned her degrees from Naugatuck Valley College and Post University. She was the former President of the Board of Directors for Clearview Hills Association. She worked at Bank of Boston as a tax accountant for 20 years; and Webster Bank as a manager of the estate department for 18 years.
Debbie enjoyed visits to the beach, casino, and Atlantic City; and she found the most joy in watching her beloved grandsons, Joey and Josh, playing sports.
Debbie will be deeply missed by her son, Joseph Dunne Jr., of Wolcott; her loving fiancé, Gary Membrino; her grandsons, Joseph and Joshua Dunne; her sisters, Christine Capolupo, and her husband, John, of Cape Cod; Diane Madden, and her husband, Mark, of Wolcott; Arlene Santa Maria, and her husband, Joseph, of Waterbury; and LeeAnn Galullo, and her husband, Richard, of Thomaston; her aunts, Loretta Tompkins, of Wolcott; and Irene Fernandez, of Waterbury; her best friend, Sandie Heller; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Including her husband, Joseph Dunne Sr.; Debbie was predeceased by her daughter, Jennifer Dunne; and her brother, Richard Gamble Jr.
The family would like to thank VITAS Hospice Care and Debbie’s nurse, Sarah Olmstead, for the exceptional care they gave.
A walk-through visitation will be held on Sunday, November 22 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. Burial will be held at a later date to be announced.
Masks and social distancing are required. Everyone is kindly asked to leave once you have paid your respects so the next group may enter.
