Wolcott- Mrs. Constance J. (Capaldo) Picard, 78, died peacefully, surrounded by family, on Sunday, November 11th, at the LiveWell Center in Planstville after a long illness of Dementia & Alzheimer’s. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert F. Picard.
Connie was born February 27, 1940 in Elizabeth, N.J. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Dorothy (Might) Capaldo. She graduated from Wilby High School. Connie was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church in Wolcott. She was previously employed at Pearl Vision Center and ITW Highland.
Connie’s greatest pleasure in life was spending time with her family and friends. She loved spending time with her sisters, listening to Elvis and playing cards. Connie adored her husband Al.
She is survived by her two daughters; Lisa and her husband Mayor Thomas G. Dunn of Wolcott and Theresa and her husband Giovanni Prisco of Harwinton; her grandchildren; Brittany, Bridget and Thomas Dunn and his wife Kate; Alisia, Gianna, Giovanni, Calogio and Nicco Prisco; and three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Peyton and Gavin Dunn.
Connie is also survived by her sisters, June Christoff, Virginia Capaldo and Barbara Capaldo; two sister-in-laws Claire LeBlanc and Geraldine Lambert and her husband Norman; brother-in-laws Donald Picard and his wife Irene, and Robert Fontaine; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her mother-in-law Claire (Langlais) (Picard) Gervais and her late husbands Albert Picard and Roger Gervais; a sister Patricia Martino, sister-in-law Kathleen Fontaine and brother-in-laws Anthony Christoff and Bernard LeBlanc.
The family would like to thank the staff of the LiveWell Center for the tremendous care given to Connie during her stay.
Friends may visit with Connie’s family on Saturday morning, November 17, from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at St. Pius X Church (St. Basil the Great Parish), 525 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott, at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
