WOLCOTT – Charmaine A. Michaud, 86, passed away peacefully on August 23rd, 2021 at Middlebury Convalescent Home.

Charmaine was born on October 18th, 1934 in Waterbury. After graduating from Waterbury Catholic High School, she worked at Western Union in White Plains, NY. Then, Charmaine
returned home to Wolcott, and married her husband, Donald Morin, a U.S. Air Force veteran. During their 41 years of marriage, they raised a family, embarked on numerous camping trips
and instilled their love of nature in each of their children.

Charmaine worked at the Seth Thomas clock factory, and later was employed at the First National Bank of Litchfield in Washington Depot.

Her hobbies included ceramics, knitting, gardening and square dancing. She was fluent in
French and enjoyed preparing meals that reflected her Canadian heritage.
In her retirement, she served as a hospice volunteer for Litchfield County. Additionally, she
cared for each of her beautiful grandchildren; she loved them immensely.

Her favorite places were Ogunquit, ME, New Hampshire and the Canadian Maritime Provinces.
Preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Rita Michaud; sister, Jeanine (Ginger) Michaud and
brother, Roger Michaud.

Charmaine is survived by her five children, Donna Morin of Canada; Gregory Morin, and his
wife, Sylvie, of Plantsville; David Morin and his wife, Donna, of Norfolk, MA; Deborah
Thibault, and her husband, James, of Harwinton and Christine LeBlond and her husband, Brian,
of Rye, NH; six grandchildren Monique Morin, Simone Morin, Sierra Thibault, Cydney
Caterino, Lucy LeBlond and William LeBlond; and her brother Donald Michaud of Wolcott.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Middlebury Convalescent Recreation
Department: 778 Middlebury Rd. Middlebury, CT 06762

Funeral service will be held privately.
