Waterbury – Bernadette B. Ricciardi, 88, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Middlebury Convalescent Home.
Bernadette was born in Waterbury on October 23, 1931, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Ouellette) Cyr.
She leaves behind her sons, John “Jackie” Kleinschmidt, and his lifelong partner, Faith DePew, of Crossroads, PA; Joseph Ricciardi Jr.; and Ronald Ricciardi, and his lifelong partner, Kristina Emanuele; her daughter, Linda Kleinschmidt, of Elmira, NY; her grandchildren, Cshila Ricciardi; Chelsey Ricciardi; Tiffany Bratz and Jamie-Lin Bratz, both of Elmira, NY; Lisa Lilley-Cornell; Kristen Kleinschmidt; Shawn Kleinschmidt, of VT; Shane Kleinschmidt and Elizabeth Kleinschmidt, of both Rochester, NY; and Christopher Kleinschmidt, of Painted Pony, NY; her great grandchildren, Ava Gallagher; Amayah Zasun; Desiree, Brianna, and Cayla Scognamiglio; Dejah Casillas; Madalyn Manwarning; and Layla-Lin Campanelli; her great great granddaughter, Novah Kleinschmidt; her former husband, Joseph Ricciardi Sr.; her daughter in Law, Cathy Hoffman, and her daughter, Shannon Bagoly, whom she was very close to; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Darlene M. Ricciardi; her grandson, Gary DiLeo; her brother, Ronald R. Cyr; her sisters, Simone Martin; Athela Delevielevse; and Olga Cyr.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 9 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. Attendees must wear a mask and practice social distancing. Due to restrictions on gatherings, you are kindly asked to leave after paying your respects to allow the next group to enter. Mass will be held privately.
