Mr Anthony V DellaRose

Waterbury – Anthony V. DellaRose, A.K.A. Twanz, 67, passed away at home surrounded by his family on June 10, 2018. He was the husband of Rose (Rinaldi) DellaRose for over 42 years.

Anthony was born on May 29, 1951 in Waterbury, son of the late George and Antoinette (Tortorici) DellaRose. His hobbies included playing the electric guitar when he was younger. He loved listening to rock music daily. He was an avid Yankees fan, who enjoyed collecting baseball cards and watching the Yankee games.

He worked for the City of Waterbury for over 22 years. His passion for food led him to become a cook in the Army Reserve.

He was a devoted husband and father who was caring and hardworking, who always put his family first.

He adored his family, especially his grandchildren. He was always there to help others in need. He had a unique gift to gab and made many friends over the years. He will be truly missed by all.
Besides his wife, Rose, Anthony is survived by his children, Georgette Delvecchio, of VA; Michelina (Walace Monteiro) DellaRose, of Waterbury; Magdalena DellaRose, of Waterbury; Anthony DellaRose, Jr., of Waterbury; Melissa (Luis Rosario-Alvarez) DellaRose, of Terryville; Jessica DellaRose, of Waterbury; 22 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves a brother, Joseph (Ann) DellaRose, of Prospect.

A calling hour will be held on Thursday, June 21 from 3 to 4 p.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. A funeral home service will be held at 4 p.m. Burial will follow in Woodtick Cemetery, Wolcott.
