Wolcott – Mrs. Angiola (Ciazza) Mancini, 93, of Wolcott, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was the widow of Mr. Pellegrino Mancini who predeceased her in 1993.
Angiola was born on January 29, 1927 in Pontelandolfo, Benevento, Italy, daughter of the late Fioravanti and Antonietta (Iadanza) Ciazza. Angiola enjoyed cooking, gardening, and sewing. She was a woman of faith and loved to watch Italian Mass every day. She was also a member of St. Pius X Church in Wolcott.
Angiola is survived by her sons, Nicolino Mancini and his wife Gina, and Graziano Mancini and his wife Rosemary; her granddaughter, Margaret Perugini, her sister Menina; and several nieces, nephews, cousins; and dear friends who have been there for her over the last several years of her life. She was predeceased by two sisters, Lena and Ermiena.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, Dec. 14 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Pius X Church (St. Basil the Great Parish) in Wolcott. Entombment will follow Mass in Calvary Cemetery. Masks are required and social distancing guidelines will be strictly enforced.
