Our founders, Leon A. Frigon and his wife Rita (Dubois) Frigon, started Frigon Funeral Home in Waterbury (formerly Belleville Funeral Home) in 1945 and continued to serve the community until their retirement in 1979. They made their residence on the second floor of the home with their four children until 1974, when they moved to Hitchcock Lake in Wolcott. They were dedicated to their community and their family. Their son Leon Armand Frigon and Sharon Frigon continued the business at the Waterbury facility and opened Woodtick Memorial in May 1985. Leon retired in 1999, and Frigon Funeral home was closed in 2004. Woodtick was designed to appeal to the community of Wolcott and Waterbury with its spacious chapels, peaceful décor, and large parking area. Renovations were started in 1994 to accommodate a large chapel and general offices.
