Bristol Yolande Rita Chabot, 87, of Bristol, formerly of Wolcott, passed away on September 22, 2022 at Sheridan Woods in Bristol. She was the loving wife of the late Paul Chabot who predeceased her in 1997. Yolande was born on June 23, 1935 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Harry and Anna Perreault (Neveu). She attended St. Annes School and Crosby High School, where she was the captain of the basketball team. She was a woman of strong faith and was very active in her church. As a member of St. Pius X Church, she taught CCD, was a member of the Ladies guild, past President of the Parish Council, and a Eucharistic Minister. She continued as a Eucharistic Minister for St. Gregory Church in Bristol and loved to visit the sick and home-bound. Yolande was also an avid golfer and played in the Womens League at Farmingbury Hills. She was an ardent fan of the New England Patriots and UConn Womans Basketball. Yolande is survived by her five children, Peter Chabot and his wife Kay-Ann, Steven Chabot and his wife Joan, Pauline Carpinteri and her husband Stephen, Matthew Chabot and his wife Traci, and Denise Fetko and her husband Stephen; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her four cherished siblings, and a grandson. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. at St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Rd., Burial will follow in Old St. Joseph Cemetery in Waterbury.
