William Leach
Waterbury ~Mr. William Leach, 84, formerly of Center street in Wolcott, died Monday, February 21, 2011 at Meridian Manor.
Mr. Leach was born January 23, 1927 in Waterbury, son to the late Edason and Maude (Pulver) Leach. Billy grew up on Sylvan Ave. in Waterbury. He moved to Wolcott and was a resident in town for years and he was very active with the Special Olympics. Billy was last employed by Cheshire Occupation Career Opportunities and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will always be remembered for being a caring person that touched many hearts.
He is survived by his sister in law, Constance "Connie" Leach, a nephew Michael Leach, niece, Tracie Gugliotti, all of Wolcott, a great niece, Chelsea Leach of Vernon and many special friends. He was pre-deceased by his brother Robert Leach and sister Ann Murdock.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday March 3rd at 6:30pm at the Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott, CT 06716 Friends may visit from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
