Waterbury ~ Walter B. Nelson, 55, of Waterbury passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. Walter was born March 27, 1956 in Waterbury, son of Jan (Marti) Belanger-Johnson and the late Bruce Nelson, Sr. He was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed NASCAR racing. He had a love for motorcycles and cars. Besides his mother of Waterbury, he leaves his son, Christian of FL; his brothers, Robert Nelson of Wolcott, Bill Romaniello III and his wife, Heather of Thomaston and Bruce Nelson, Jr. of Southington; his sisters, Michelle Lebel of Petersburg, VA, Gina Belanger of Thomaston, Tammy Breen of Wolcott and Mariann Collins of Blackstone, VA, and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday at 12 pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Visitation will be held from 11 am until the time of the service.
