Obituary

Mrs. Virginia D. Baldwin Wolcott ~ Virginia D. (DeBisschop) Baldwin, 90, passed away on May 8, 2013 at Wolcott View Manor. She was the widow to William H. Baldwin Sr. Virginia was born September 27, 1922 in Waterbury daughter of the late Charles J. and Mabel (Orpin) DeBisschop. She was a member of the Society of Geneologist and member of Mill Plain Union Church in Waterbury. She is remembered for her famous wedding cakes that she had made for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and cared for her family deeply. Virginia is survived by a son, Donald W. Baldwin and his wife Cheryl of Wolcott, her grandchildren, Kevin Baldwin and his wife Daena, Debbie Nicol and her husband Nick, Stephen Baldwin, Mark Baldwin, Christopher Baldwin and his wife Jennifer, eight great grandchildren, Mathew and Nicholas, Billy and Jeffery, Allie and Julia, Zachary and Lauren, a sister in law, Priscilla DeBisschop and a daughter in law, Judy Baldwin. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles DeBisschop, two sisters, Elizabeth Kleinschmidt-Dauch and Dorothy Wesendorf and a son William H. Baldwin Jr. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 5-8pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Friends and family can gather Monday at 10:30 am at the funeral home to process to the Mill Plain Union Church for a service at 12:30pm.Burial will follow in Old Pine Grove Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Mill Plain Union Church, 242 Southmayd Rd., Waterbury, CT 06705.
