HARWINTON ~ Viola L. (Violette) Lamontagne, 84, of Harwinton passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 26, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of George Lamontagne who passed away on September 8, 2012 after 62 years of marriage.
Viola was born June 5, 1929 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Albert and Almire (Charette) Violette. She attended the Shrine of St. Anne in Waterbury. Viola was dedicated to her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
She leaves her children, Glen Lamontagne and his wife, Victoria of Cheshire, Laurie Lamontagne of Terryville, Lynn Lamontagne of Harwinton, Keith Lamontagne and his wife, Janet of Old Saybrook, and Leslie Lamontagne of West Hartford, her brother Roger Violette of Murfreesboro, TN, her grandchildren, Kyle, Amanda and Katelyn Lamontagne, and her nieces, nephews and special niece, Tracy Violette. She was predeceased by her siblings, Ronald and Gerald Violette and Rena Dube.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 am from Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott to the Shrine of St. Anne for a funeral mass at 11 am. Friends may call at the funeral home from 8:30 am until 10 am. Burial will take place on Saturday, November 2nd at 11 am at Calvary Cemetery, 2324 East Main St., Waterbury.
