Obituary

OAKVILLE ~ Valderick Laferriere, 78, of Oakville passed away on February 28, 2013 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Diana (Belisle) Laferriere. Valderick was born May 30, 1934 in Fort Kent, ME, son of the late Raoul and Delia (Dube) Laferriere. He retired from Scovill Mfg. Co after 34 years of service and worked at Siemon in Watertown for 5 years. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Valderick loved spending time in Maine, fishing and hunting. He was known for the many dollhouses he constructed, along with his great sense of humor. Besides his wife, Diana of 58 years, he leaves his children, Darcy Pagnoni and husband, Phil of Wolcott, Perry Laferriere and wife, Maria of Naugatuck, Stacey Altomari and husband Paul of Waterbury, Jamie Langlois and husband Sylvain of Oakville, and Dana Laferriere of Glastonbury, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Velma Belisle and Valdore Laferriere. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott with a service being held during the visitation. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen, P.O.
