Wolcott ~ Thomas J. Farrell, 74, of Wolcott passed away on Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Masonic Healthcare in Wallingford. He was married to Diane (Champagne) Farrell.
Mr. Farrell was born January 9, 1937 in Waterbury, son of the late Thomas P. and Jane (Corti) Farrell. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Army. Prior to his retirement, he was the owner of Foreign Car Repair and enjoyed woodworking, reading, and crossword puzzles. Known for his sense of humor, he brought laughter and joy to his family and friends.
Besides his wife, Diane of 47 years, he leaves his daughters, Andrea Halpin and her husband, Michael of Bristol and Tammy Kerr of Wolcott, his sisters, Joan Natelle of Middlebury and Maureen Bianchini of S.C., his grandchildren, Sadie, Katelyn, and Samantha, and his great grandson, Christopher. He was predeceased by his sister, Marjorie Garneau.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 19th at 10 am at St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Friends are asked to meet at the Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott.
