THEODORE "Ted" TAMOWSKI, SR.
WOLCOTT ~ Theodore "Ted" Tamowski, Sr., 80, of Wolcott passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 21st at St. Marys Hospital. He was the husband of Carmella (Buscemi) Tamowski.
Ted was born October 19, 1929 in Waterbury, son of the late John and Mary (Kaminski) Tamowski. He was a U. S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He retired from Arthur Russell Co. in Bristol after 28 years of employment. Ted enjoyed cooking, traveling, crossword puzzles, music, especially polka dancing and gardening, but his devotion was to his family.
Besides his wife, Carmella, of 56 years, he leaves his son, Theodore "Ted" Tamowski, Jr. of Wolcott, his daughter, Donna Membrino and her husband, Joseph of Wolcott, his grandson, Michael DiDominzio of Wolcott, her granddaughter, Michelle Lynn Fenton, his great grandson, David Christopher Fenton of Wolcott, and several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his son, David and grandson, Christopher DiDominzio.
Teds family would like to thank Dr. Alosco and St. Marys ICU staff for the special care and attention that was given to him.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Burial with military honors will follow in Woodtick Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Woodtick Memorial one hour prior to the service.
