We sadly announce the sudden passing of Susan (Brangel) Baltera who left us on Sunday August 2nd at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport at the age of 71. For the last 50 years, Susan was the devoted wife of Mark Baltera.

Susan was born in Waterbury on January 28, 1955, daughter of the late James and Lillian (Broniewski) Brangel. She graduated from Wilby High School and was a former Stop & Shop employee where she built life long lasting friendships.

Susan had a fun loving personality and was also a deeply caring person. She loved animals, especially her cats, and volunteered at numerous events supporting local animal rescue organizations. Her caring personality was also demonstrated in the special way that she loved her husband, family, and friends.

She is survived by her husband Mark, her loving children Sharon Lescadre, Jaime Stewart and her husband Kyle Stewart, her cherished grandchildren Gabrielle Lescadre, Brooklyn and Jameson Chance, her two sisters Judy Genovese and Laurel Seebach, and many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
