Wolcott Soren W.BillNeidt Jr., 89, of Wolcott, passed away on December 29, 2020 at Waters Edge in Middletown. He was the loving husband of the late Pauline (McLean) Neidt who passed away in 2012. Billwas born on Feb 1, 1931 in Torrington, son of the late Soren W. Neidt Sr. and Barbara (Frauenhofer) Neidt. Soren was a master carpenter working in the field formany, many years. Even long after his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking so much. He also enjoyed birdwatching and was a champion horseshoe player.Billalso served honorably in the United States Navy. Billis survived by hisdaughter, Sharon Skrip and her husband George; two sons, Scott Neidt and his wife Colleen, and Rusty Neidt; four grandchildren, Vanessa Free, Heather Neidt, Cassandra Neidt, Taylor Haynes and his wifeCourtney;three great-grandchildren, Savannah, Tabitha and Chris;his brother Albert Neidt of Maine, and several nieces and nephews. Walk through visitation will be Thursday, January 7, 2021, from 6 8:00 pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd, Wolcott. Military honors and a brief service will follow at 8:00 P.M.
