WOLCOTT ~ Silas "Junior" Hart, Sr., 83 of Wolcott passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Wolcott View Manor. He was the beloved husband of Rosemarie (Clark) Hart. Mr. Hart was born November 12, 1928 in Waterbury, son of the late George and Ellen (Johnson) Knox. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during peacetime. He had worked for National Mail for several years, and in his younger years, enjoyed fishing and hunting. He attended St. Pius X Church. Besides his wife, Rosemarie of 60 years, he leaves his children, Donna Lewicki (Steve) of Lake City, S.C., Margaret Leopizzo (Charles) of Winter Haven, FL, Silas Hart II (Lona) of Meriden, Greg Hart (Nadine) of Waterbury, Helen Dionne (Fred) of Ottawa, KS, George A. Hart of Waterbury, and Kathleen Ortiz (Tony) of Lake Wylie, S.C., his sister, Hazel Knox of VT, his brother, Thomas Knox of Waterbury, 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren , 3 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 9 am at St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Friends may call at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott on Friday from 5 to 7 pm.
