WATERBURY ~ Shirley Boisvert, 80 of Waterbury passed away on Sunday January 12, 2014 at St. Marys Hospital. Shirley was born October 2, 1933 in New Haven, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Fagan) Casey. She had been employed as a secretary for local manufacturing companies. She attended St. Peter & Paul Church and was a former member of the Prospect Senior Center. Shirley was a resident at Aurora Senior Living at Bucks Hill and quickly become involved in the activities at the home. She was president of the Resident Council and started the Patient Library and the Reading Club. She would often be seen reading to the residents as well as participating in all activities with enthusiasm. She leaves her son, Ernest A. Boisvert, Jr. and her daughter, Cheryl Gagne, both of Waterbury, her grandson, Michael A. Berardi of Waterbury, and her brothers, Joe, T.J., Jack, Tom and Mike Casey, all of the Milford area. All funeral services are private. Woodtick Memorial has been entrusted with her arrangements.
