WATERBURY ~ Salvatore C. Rosato, 95, of Waterbury passed away on Tuesday, October 12th at Rose Garden Convalescent Home. He was the widower of Annette (Desjardins) Rosato.
Mr. Rosato was born May 9, 1915 in New York City, NY, son of the late Pasquale and Katerina (Perocchi) Rosato. He retired from Robert Shaw Electronics after 40 years of service and attended the Basilica of The Immaculate Conception. He played in several softball leagues until he reached the age of 50, but still spent summer nights watching the leagues in the Waterbury area when he could no longer participate. He loved playing the horses at O.T.B. He was an avid duckpin bowler and after his retirement, he took up the game of golf.
Mr. Rosato leaves his sons, Ronald of Waterbury and Richard of Shelton, and his brother, Eugene of Waterbury.
A memorial mass will be held on October 23rd at 9 am at the Basilica of The Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main St., Waterbury. Family and friends are asked to meet at the Church. Woodtick Memorial has been entrusted with Mr. Rosatos arrangements.
