RUTH G. OVERTON HENDERSON, NEVADA ~ Ruth (Gervais) Overton, 82, formerly of Wolcott died March 23rd at Delmar Garden Hospice in Henderson, NV. She was the widow of Joseph P. Overton. Mrs. Overton was born April 21, 1926 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Joseph and Lorretta (Erb) Gervais. She made Wolcott her home in 1952 and in 1999; she began a wonderful life of traveling with her daughter, Judy. She retired in 1991 from Wolcott View Manor after 15 years of service. She was a founding member of St. Pius X Church. Mrs. Overton was a breast cancer survivor and her family has participated in the annual walks to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research. She leaves her daughter, Judith Overton of Henderson, NV, her son, Edward Overton of Cromwell, her daughter-in-law, Donna Overton of Wolcott, her grandsons, David and Sean Overton, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Kenneth Overton and her daughter, Helen Pazera. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 am at St. Pius X Church, 515 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Family and friends are asked to gather at the church. Burial will take place in the spring at Woodtick Cemetery.
