Ruth Brennan, 82, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on July 25. She was the wife of the late Wilbur Brennan. Ruth was born in Waterbury, CT to the late Charles and Ruth (Graham) Caparella. Ruth was a great cook and loved taking care of her family. She loved taking rides to find new places to explore. Ruth also liked to crochet, but was very passionate about her gardening. She retired from the Southbury Training School in 1995. Ruth is survived by her sons, Charles Caparella and his wife Theresa, of Thomaston; and James Dellorfano, and his girlfriend, Jacquelyn Quistberg, of Terryville; her daughter, Denise Butler, of Bristol; her sister, Delores Langlais, of Hartford; her 4 grandchildren; her great-grandson; and extended family. She was predeceased by her sisters, Katherine Orsatti, Joan Cristafano, and Marie Kearney. Calling hours will be held Thursday, July 30 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. A funeral mass will be held Friday, July 31 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter and Pauls Church, 67 Southmayd Road, Waterbury. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be private.
