ROSE A. CLEMENT CLEMENT, Rose A (Jacques), wife of Alcide J Clement Sr, of Wolcott, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 29, 1924 in Eliot Memorial Hospital, Manchester, NH, the daughter of Henry W and Beatrice (Cloutier) Jacques. Rose moved with her family from Londonderry, NH to Wolcott in 1941, where she started employment at New Departure, Bristol. Following her marriage, she worked at Iseli Company, Terryville, and retired from the cafeteria in the Wolcott school system. Her life is defined by her dedication to her family and her church. Rose served the Church of St Pius X both as a CCD teacher and as a member of the Altar Society, while always a faithful communicant. She also served as a scout leader with the troop her children participated in. In addition to her beloved husband of 65 years, Rose leaves her children: Jacqueline (Robert) Evans of Naugatuck, Arlene Clement of Wolcott, Alcide (Karen) Clement Jr. of Branford, Louise Clement of Middletown, H Michael (Janice) Clement of Southington, and Cynthia (Douglas) Ross of Forestville; and joys of her life in 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition, Rose has surviving siblings: Anne Jacques of Florida, Andre Jacques of North Carolina, and Patricia Jacques, Roger (Mary) Jacques, and Donna (Thomas) Trumfio, all of Wolcott, together with many nieces and nephews and their families. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:30 am from the Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott to St. Pius X Church for a funeral mass at 11 am. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery. Her family will receive family and friends at Woodtick Memorial on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm.
