Obituary

Rolande (Chasse) (Laferriere) Lannon, 103, of Wolcott, passed away on Monday August 10th surrounded by her loving family at Complete Care at Glendale in Naugatuck. She was the wife of the late William Lannon.

Rolande was born April 5, 1923 in St. Agatha, Maine, but spent most of her life in Wolcott where she was a parishioner of St. Pius X Church. She was a devout Catholic and member of the St. Pius Rosary Society. She was retired from St. Mary’s Hospital. She loved watching the Yankees and UConn men’s basketball.

Rolande is survived by her daughter Doris Begley and her daughter-in-law Norma Laferriere, thirteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Rolande was pre-deceased by her three sons Nelson, James and Glen Laferriere, her son-in-law John ”Jack” Begley, her two granddaughters, Michele Laferriere and Camri Ulevicas and she outlived all nine of her siblings.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday August 14th at St. Basil the Great Parish/ St. Pius X Church in Wolcott with burial to follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Watertown. Friends and family may call at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd in Wolcott Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
