WATERBURY ~ Roland L. Massicotte, 88, of Waterbury passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit at St. Marys Hospital. He was the widower of Roma (Gagne) Massicotte.
Roland was born March 21, 1924 in Waterbury, son of the late Theophile and Alma (Hamel) Massicotte. He was a U.S. veteran of WWII, having served in the Philippines. Roland received an Associates Degree in Accounting from Post University. He retired from Anamet after 40 years of service. Roland was a communicant of the Shrine of St. Anne and served on the Steeple Restoration Committee. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and skiing.
He leaves his daughters, Jeanne Nalepka and her husband, Jon of Strongsville, OH, Colette Kinnard and her husband, Ken of Westminster, CO, and Susan Lessard and her husband, George of Stoneham, MA, and 6 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Paul.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 from Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott to the Shrine of St. Anne for a mass at 11 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 until 10:30.
