We sadly announce the passing of Roger R. Lecours, 85. formerly of Randolph, VT on Friday February 13, 2026 peacefully at home in Wolcott.
Born in Lebanon, NH on August 30, 1940, Roger was the son of the late Gaston and Gertrude (Groleau) Lecours. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He lived in Wolcott for most of his life and served on the Wolcott Volunteer Fire Dept Company 1 for over 20 years. He was a retired employee of Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation in Wallingford where he worked for over 20 years. Roger enjoyed reading, playing cards and riding his motorcycle.
Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters Kelly Flynn, Leeann (Robert) Gardner, his two sons Roger (Carrie) Lecours, Joseph (Diane) Lecours, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren, his brother Ronald Lecours and sister Eva (Stan) Bialecki, and several nieces and nephews. Roger was predeceased by his Son-in-law Henry Flynn, his grandson Tyler Flynn and his sister Elaine Capobianco.
Roger’s children would like to extend a special thanks to his caregivers Andrea, Aaron and Brian for their love and hospitality during this difficult time.
Roger’s life will be celebrated on Saturday February 21, 2026 at Wolcott Congregational Church 185 Center St. on the Wolcott Town Green with a Memorial Service at 11 AM. Roger’s family will receive condolences at the church before the services, from 9:30 AM and after the services in the church hall. Burial with full military honors will be in the CT Veteran’s Cemetery in Middletown at a time to be announced.
